APOTEK K-24 NOW PROVIDES KB SWASTA MANDIRI (PRIVATE FAMILY PLANNING PROGRAM) FOR PATIENTS

Exactly in a decade, PT. K-24 Indonesia or Apotek K-24 has stabilized its role in helping government and people in providing service in health. The breakthrough done by Apotek K-24 is to establish the plan to launch Family Planning Clinic along with National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN).

The chairman of Apotek K-24 dr. Gideon Hartono said that this program is government’s plan to promote private family planning program (KB Swasta Mandiri) by BKKBN. During the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU), Thursday (13/12) at Sheraton Mustika Hotel Yogyakarta, Apotek K-24 will also invite PT. Triyasa Nagamas Farma as the producer of contraception in Indonesia.

“We want to support this government program. Later, all Apotek K-24 outlets in Indonesia will be the partner in providing medicine and contraception for KB Swasta Mandiri,” said Gideon in the gathering with theme, Bersama Kita Bisa Membangun Indonesia (Together We Can Build Indonesia).

Meanwhile, the Head of BKKBN DIY, Tjondrorini said that this partnership is a follow-up of National MoU between BKKBN and PT. K-24 Indonesia. “Population and family planning program now faces complex challenge. There is higher demand of KB service in private service, that is why it is important for us to invite Apotek K-24,” Rini explained.

Besides supporting government program, this program will also give business opportunities for health service providers. Gideon also added that Apotek K-24 has pharmacy network across Indonesia. The business of Apotek K-24 is quite wide so it can target health service, especially KB Swasta Mandiri in remote area.

“Later, those pharmacies will be completed with clinic, practicing doctor, and consultation, information, education, which are ready for health service or KB Swasta Mandiri service. Now, we need about 50 doctors whom we can place in those KB clinics,” he continued.
