APOTEK K-24 WINS THE FIRST CHAMPION OF INDONESIA ORIGINAL BRAND 2013

 

Located in the Intercontinental Hotel, Jakarta, Thurday 4 Juli 2013, for the second time Apotek K-24 won Indonesia Original Brand for category pharmacy. Apotek K-24 placed first with IOB Index 7.78 surpassing Century (7.59) and Kimia Farma (7.26). The award was given by Kemal Effendi Gandi as the chief editor of SWA Magazine and accepted by Gesit Kuntadi as the Merchandise Manager of PT. K-24 Indonesia (Franchisor Apotek K-24). This award is given to the brands originated from Indonesia which managed to succeed in Indonesia, surpassing foreign brands and the quality is acknowledged internationally.


At least there are 250 brands from 108 categories which is successfully filtered in the selection process from Indonesia Original Brand (IOB), in which in 2013 is the third event held. The result of the survey shows Indonesia brands which have great performance because of the significant market target, having high brand awareness/brand equity, and surviving for decades.


Survey was done during April to May 2013 involved 5312 respondents in 6 big cities in Indonesia, which were Medan, Jabodetabek, Semarang, Surabaya, and Makassar. The parameter or variables of measurement included the Satisfaction, Loyalty, Advocacy, and Local Brand Competitive Level, to know how much respondents trusting the local brand compared to foreign brand, how much the probability for the respondents to keep using or buying local brand in the future, and how much the probability of the respondents to recommend a local brand compared to foreign brand.


This event aimed to appreciate local brands that dominate in the country and also became nation’s pride. We should learn from Korea, Japan, and Thailand about how they educate their citizens to be proud of using local products and being the host in their own country, which cause the local brands to be able to compete globally. Because, no matter how, a success of Indonesia Original Brand in the country more or less will give plus score economically, and it will support national living standard for the citizen.


Completing the previous award received, it shows that Apotek K-24 as the original brand Indonesia is successful in gaining trust from people and being the pioneer of franchise pharmacy in Indonesia.
