APOTEK K-24 WINS GOLD CHAMPION OF INDONESIA WOW BRAND AWARD 2015

Apotek K-24 won Gold Champion of Indonesia WOW Brand Award which was hosted by MarkPlus Inc for the category of Customer Healthcare Product and Service with subcategory Chain Pharmacy. It was the second time for Apotek K-24 to win the same award.


In this awarding event, Apotek K-24 surpassed its competitors, Kimia Farma Pharmacy (silver) and Century Pharmacy (bronze). The award was given directly by Hermawan Kartajaya as the founder and president of MarkPlus, Inc and accepted by Marcus Laurentius as the Business Development Manager of PT. K-24 Indonesia in The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (25/03)


Indonesia WOW Brand Award is one of highest awards given to brands which have highest BAR points according to the survey done by MarkPlus Insight. This survey was conducted since December 2014 to February 2015, by involving 1350 respondents from 10 large cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang. Palembang, Makassar, Pekanbaru, Padang, Denpasar, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Surakarta, Manado, Yogyakarta, Jayapura, and Banda Aceh. This survey was applied to OTC medicines or unprescribed medicines.


According to Taufik (Chief Executive of MarkPlus Insight), the attributes scored in this survey is Brand Advocacy Ratio, which is the comparison of spontaneous advocacy score towards spontaneous awareness score. Ideally, everyone has to know a brand (aware), either they are users or not, and willing to  recommend the brand (advocacy). If the number of people knowing the brand is equal to the amount of people recommending the brand (advocator), the ideal point is 1. Therefore, it is possible even though a brand excels in awareness but does not get the “WOW” predicate if its advocacy ratio is low.


Recommendation of brand by customers cannot be separated from customers’ trust and loyalty toward the brand.
