SUPPORTING EDUCATION, PT. K-24 INDONESIA ACCEPTS STUDY TOUR VISIT FROM POLTEKKES KEMENTERIAN KESEHATAN PANGKAL PINANG

Saturday (9/5), PT. K-24 Indonesia accepted study tour from Poltekkes Kementerian Kesehatan Pangkal Pinang, Riau. This visit was part of practice course of Management of Pharmaceutical and Accounting Procurement to directly witness the process of pharmacy service and pharmaceutical activity in Apotek K-24.

In this visit, Poltekkes Kementerian Kesehatan Pangkal Pinang was represented with 20 students and 2 lecturers. Besides visiting the head office of PT. K-24 Indonesia in Yogyakarta, they also visited Apotek K-24 Gejayan in Jl. Gejayan and Apotek K-24 Gondomanan, in Jl, Brigjend Katamso. By directly visiting both head office and pharmacy outlets, it is expected for the students to directly study from the business center of Apotek K-24.

Apotek K-24 was chosen as the destination of study tour because it is seen as a franchise pharmacy which has widest network in Indonesia, including Pangkal Pinang. For Apotek K-24 itself, this activity was a great chance to show many things done in pharmacy business, which can be adopted by educational world as the human resources producers.

This is important, because according to the data from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) on November 2014. the number of jobseekers in Indonesia is 7.24 million people. This number is obviously not a small number.

“Moreover, if we see, there is high amount of human resources who work in unmatched field as their competence and educational background,” said Isnantyo Widodo, the plt HRD manager of PT. K-24 Indonesia.

According to Isnantyo, lately there are many companies who complained that it is hard to find educated and trained human resources. From the education point of view, there are many complaints that their graduates do not fulfill the criteria needed by company. This concern needs to be solved properly.

PT. K-24 answered that solution by giving support from business and industry world to education world, which is to provide itself as the destination of study tour and to absorb human resources from the alumni of schools and campus, such as Poltekkes Kementerian Kesehatan Pangkal Pinang, in which this partnership has been done for quite long.

Every student who observed Apotek K-24 is expected to understand everything needed by working world to him/herself, either from character, service commitment, or their competence in pharmacy and pharmaceutical world.
