“PHARMA PRENEUR” NEW INFECTING VIRUS
The new virus called “pharma preneur” is a new kind of virus in pharmacy business. Actually, pharma preneur is more a knowledge and tips for an entrepreneur in pharmaceutical field, especially pharmacy. The virus is invented by dr. Gideon Hartono, and was delivered during public lecturing for the students of pharmacist program and postgraduate pharmacy program study in the Padjajaran University, Bandung. The lecturing class took place in Jatinangor, Sumedang, Jawa Barat.
A man who is both founder and chairman of PT. K-24 Indonesia told the students that the Pharma Preneur virus has to be developed in oneself, starting from the preparation of the pharmacist to be an entrepreneur in pharmacy field until in how they handle it so that the pharmacy can be developed and compete in the tight pharmacy business competition. dr. Gideon Hartono, who is a graduate of Medical Faculty Gadjah Mada University, also said that the hoax about pharmacy business makes pharmacist to be afraid of starting pharmacy business.One of the hoax is that pharmacy is a social organization so it cannot get profit. Gideon said that pharmacy is an actual business entity so that it is allowed to get profit both tangible and intangible.
Gideon also invites the pharmacists to dig more business opportunities in pharmacy which include 5 things:
Invention: including the invention of new medicine, neutraceutical, cosmetics, herb, etc.
Production: starting from home industry, small industry, collective productio, to factory.
Distribution: creating PBF, agent, distributor, etc.
Retail: pharmacy, drugstore, etc.
Online business: e-commerce, etc.
This Pharma Preneur virus got great response and enthusiasm from audience, it is proven from the questions asked by the students to dig the pharma preneur concept.
This activity was started with the signing of partnership MOU between Pharmacy Faculty of Padjajaran University which was represented by the dean of Pharmacy Faculty, Dr. Keri Lesari, Msi, Apt., with dr. Gideon Hartono as the chairman of PT. K-24 Indonesia.
The MOU that is used as the basic of partnership for both parties will cope activities for both party such as community service, scholarship, graduate recruitment, and awarding for the best graduate students. It also includes the development of competence by giving training for pharmacist program students by the professional trainer from PT. K-24 Indonesia.
This event was attended by the Dean, Dr. Keri Lestari, Msi, Apt, the dean vice 1, Prof. Dr. Ajeng Diantini, MSi, Apt, the dean vice 2, Mutakin, PhD, Apt, and also the academic community of Pharmacy Faculty. Besides, there were also 160 students of pharmacist program and post graduate program.
For the closing, dr. Gideon states, “ Let’s build Indonesia together with K-24!!! Indonesia citizen should get easy access to a complete and affordable health care, especially medicines!”
