Even more, the owner of Apotek K-24 franchise business targets to open more outlets in 2010 to be 500 outlets in Indonesia. By the end of the year, it is expected to get 170 more outlets. Until now, Apotek K-24 has reached 145 outlets, including the opening of 35 new outlets simultaneously in 18 cities, “We target by the end of the year there would be 170 more outlets launched, so in 2010 there will be 500 outlets opened in Indonesia,” said the chairman of PT. K-24 Indonesia, dr. Gideon Hartono during the grand opening of 35 new outlets in Salemba Jakarta, Tuesday (24/11/09). Gideon Hartono believed that the target on 2010 will be achieved by seeing the pharmacy business opportunities in several areas are still high. To open an Apotek K-24 franchise chain, it needs Rp. 650 million to Rp. 800 millions. “It is expected in three years that there will be turnover”, he explained in the middle of official launching symbolically for 35 new outlets in Jakarta. The launching of those new outlets is followed with early diagnose check up and ascariasis (worm infestation) treatment for kids in kindergarten and elementary school, in those 18 cities for free. That activity sets record in Indonesia World Record Museum (MURI) which was handed by the chief of MURI, Jaya Suprana at Apotek K-24, Salemba, Jakarta.
